The Master

“For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves” (Leviticus 25:42, ESV).

We also read in verse 55, “For it is to me that the people of Israel are servants. They are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.”

God’s people are His servants. They ought to serve Him, not anyone or anything else. As we read in Luke 16:13:

“No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

God attracts. He is our Master so worthy of our loving service.
